“With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent.” – Justices Breyer, Kagan, and Sotomayor
Today, the Supreme Court reversed decades of law that was not only sound precedent but a necessary protection for millions of people seeking reproductive health care.
Pursuant to the Dobbs decision released today, millions of young women face a future in a country where their bodies and lives are not their own.
This is not right. It is devastating. And it won’t stop here.
The MAGA movement and the Supreme Court it controls will not stop until it has imposed its fringe values on all Americans. It’s on us to fight back today and every day.
Share the graphic below to help bring everyone you know into this fight:
- The Supreme Court struck down a New York law restricting concealed firearm carry. About one-quarter of Americans live in states with similar laws, many that have been on the books for decades. As Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) pointed out, many of the states with the lowest rates of gun violence are governed by similar laws, which are now sure to be challenged and overturned.
- The U.S. Department of Education has agreed to cancel $6 billion in student debt for 200,000 borrowers who were defrauded by for-profit colleges and universities.
