Deanna Nesburg is the chief financial officer at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she was a financial management consultant and managing director at the O.R. She previously served as the senior adviser to the 2021 Presidential Inaugural Committee, senior adviser to the Biden for President financial operations team, and chief financial officer (CFO) for Kamala Harris for the People. Before jumping onto presidential campaigns, she supported campaign finance reform as CFO of End Citizens United and worked as comptroller of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Originally from Staunton, Virginia, she received her Bachelor of Science in commerce from the University of Virginia and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. When she is not in front of a spreadsheet, Nesburg spends her time traveling, crafting, and baking.
