Eldon Pearson is a social media strategist on the Digital Advocacy team at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Pearson worked in marketing and communications for various nonprofit organizations across Michigan and Austin, Texas. During his time in Austin, he advocated on behalf of various progressive political organizations at the state legislature on issues such as public education, voter rights, and LGBTQ+ rights.
Pearson earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and writing from Grand Valley State University. As a native Michigander, he loves the beach and water but admits he prefers the ocean over the lakes. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, reading, photography, and traveling.
