Rhon Hayes is the Microsoft Systems Administrator at American Progress. He has over seven years of experience in the IT industry. Hayes previously worked at Gannett/USA TODAY, where he has been both a network administrator for the website and systems analyst for both newspaper and web operations. He notably served as USA TODAY’s lead systems analyst for desktop/laptop/network support at the 2000 and 2004 Democratic National Conventions as well as the 2000 Republican National Convention, supporting the remote publishing of both USA TODAY and usatoday.com from Los Angeles, Boston, and Philadelphia respectively. He has expertise in project management, network administration and security, systems configuration and maintenance, and is a Microsoft Certified Software Engineer and Database Administrator. Hayes has a B.S. in biology and dotcom start-up experience.
