Bill Rapp is the senior director of art on the Production team at American Progress. He has been a designer for more than 20 years, having spent most of that time working in the world of public policy. Prior to joining American Progress, Rapp was senior manager of design at Third Way and led his own creative communications firm, serving clients such as Brookings, Public Religion Research Institute, and the University of Maryland.
Rapp earned a master’s degree in information visualization from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), where he is currently a member of the adjunct faculty. He also teaches data visualization at American University.
Born and raised in Syracuse, New York, Rapp is avid Orange fan but much prefers the climate in Arlington, Virginia, where he lives with his wife, two kids, and Labrador retriever, Sally.
