Tania Otero Martinez is a policy analyst for K-12 Education Policy at American Progress. Previously, Otero Martinez was the policy and advocacy associate at Step Up Advocacy. In 2021, she received her bachelor’s degree in criminology, criminal justice, and public policy with a certification in justice and legal thought from the University of Maryland. The following year, she received her master’s in public policy with a specialization in social policy, also from the University of Maryland. Otero Martinez has a calico cat named Artemis and loves to write and explore new food places.
