Alex Wall is the senior vice president for Digital Advocacy at American Progress, overseeing the Digital Advocacy team.
Wall is a veteran digital communications strategist with 15 years of experience at the intersection of politics and policy. He most recently served as a senior adviser for clean energy campaigns at Climate Power, working with labor unions, clean energy business leaders, storytellers, and advocates to drive a multifaceted communications campaign around President Joe Biden’s clean energy plan.
Prior to that, Wall oversaw the digital advocacy program at American Progress, where he built up online communications infrastructure for coordinating the broader progressive movement around key policy priorities. He served as director of social media on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, as the White House director of online engagement under President Barack Obama, as social media strategist on President Obama’s reelection campaign, and has consulted for more than a dozen political and advocacy organizations across the progressive landscape.
Wall is a die-hard New York sports fan, lover of puns, and national parks enthusiast. He is a graduate of Northwestern University.
